Pretty close. The "vision" was this: The music at the beginning is supposed to be the heroic music.
The explosion sound and shift is the turning point of the film, when the protagonist realizes he can't just be his alter ego forever.
The final music is Super Elmo unveiling his true self to someone close to him, most likely an attractive female he is interested in.
It's like Batman for babies...
